Houserules
1. General
a. 'Manager' refers to the board and appointees of Kubip VOF.
b. The "User" means the owners, riders and grooms of horses who are on the THLC facilities, as well as all visitors to these facilities.
c. The 'THLC Facilities' refers to the indoor and outdoor areas (including the equipment, material, installations, etc.) open to the User by the Manager on the property located at Molenhoekstraat 63 in 9170 Meerdonk (Sint-Gillis-Waas). Users do not have access to the private areas. They use identification badges, which are strictly personal and the loss or theft of which must be reported immediately to the Manager.
d. These By-Laws apply to all Users of the THLC accommodations and contain legally binding agreements for them that must always be observed.
e. Entering the THLC accommodations implies the User's agreement to the provisions of these By-Laws.
f. Use of THLC accommodations can be booked through www.thlc.be.
g. Photographs taken during presence at the THLC accommodations may be used by the Administrator for commercial purposes (website, leaflets, etc.). The acceptance of these internal regulations by the Users implies their express agreement to the taking and use of photographs for said purposes by the Administrator.
h. The Administrator has the discretionary right to deny a User access to the THLC Accommodations or certain portions thereof.
2. Liability of the Manager and User
The user/owner is liable for damage or injury caused by his horse. He must be insured for this. The stabling at the THLC accommodation is at the sole risk of the User/Owner.
The User owes the Administrator full indemnity for all claims for damages arising directly or indirectly from or caused by access and/or use of the THLC Facilities. In this sense also, the User shall be under an obligation to indemnify and hold harmless the Manager against all third party claims (including but not limited to all claims, demands, legal actions, losses and causes of action) in connection with the access and/or use of the THLC Accommodations.
The User shall fully indemnify the Administrator, and shall undertake to intervene in: (1) all claims and proceedings resulting from any act or omission of the User and (2) all claims and proceedings of third parties, who suffer damage in connection with the access and/or use of the THLC accommodations. The User shall also indemnify the Administrator for all damages, court, expert and other costs incurred as a result of his defense regarding these claims and/or proceedings.
The Administrator is not responsible or cannot be held liable for accidents, thefts and or loss of private property on THLC accommodations .
Only for damages caused to the User as a result of fraud, intentional or gross negligence of the Administrator or its appointees, the Administrator may be held liable. The Administrator shall not be liable for indirect, immaterial and consequential damages, damages due to floods, storms, FLEXA (fire, lightning strikes, explosions, air vehicles), natural disasters, theft with burglary and force majeure. Any claim against the Manager shall expire one (1) year from the date on which the harmful event occurred, unless a shorter period is provided by law.
3. Clothing and safety
a. The User/Rider will always be dressed with care, albeit in his own style and appearance.
b. Loose hanging garments are dangerous and prohibited. A horse may get spooked and a User/Rider may get stuck somewhere and cause accidents.
c. Long hair is best tied together in a long tail.
d. Sturdy shoes (or boots) are recommended.
e. Protective headgear or tok is mandatory. Failing to wear protective headgear, any consequences are always the responsibility of the User/rider and the Administrator cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries. His insurance also does not intervene in this regard.
f. Children through 12 years of age are required to wear a body protector.
g. Children through 14 years of age are required to wear a body protector during jumping lessons.
h. Failure to comply with these rules will result in denial of access to the slopes and obstacle course
i. It is forbidden to walk, play and shout in and around the stables.
j. Each User/Rider rides at his/her own expense.
4. Manure & Waste
If your horse manures in the corridors, parking lot or on public roads, please clean it up yourself. Manure should be disposed of in the place provided (and not swept against the wall or in a corner!).
Waste from farrier should also be disposed of in the same manner.
The same rules apply to the parking lot. When manure is removed from a truck or trailer it is also taken to the manure pile.
Paper and packaging materials, cans, bottles, etc. are to be deposited in the trash cans. Bottles from the cafeteria must be returned to the cafeteria.
Cleanliness in THLC accommodations is everyone's responsibility. Trash belongs in the trash can.
5. Beverage
Beverage bottles, glasses and cans are not allowed in the hallways or stalls. Please dispose of cans and bottles in the trash cans.
6. Slopes and obstacle courses
After each use, the slopes, course and walk-through must be left clean.
A ridden horse always has priority over a non-ridden horse.
Entering slopes and courses
Watching to make sure no horses are coming.
If the coast is clear, notify when one opens the gate.
Gate closing back after entering.
Getting up on the center line.
Boarding to the horseshoe.
Only Users/riders and instructors are allowed in the arena and course.
Leaving piste and trail
Getting out next to the hoof ramp.
Leave arena and course as soon as possible so as not to disturb other riders.
Close gate back after going outside.
Priority rules
Riders who have private lessons will be given priority.
Private lessons
Maximum 5 horses in the arena/on the course
Exclusively by the organization of the Manager
Lunging
Maximum 2 riders in the arena
Only if no class is in progress
Maximum 1 person lunging
Setting horses free in an arena
Only in the outdoor arena.
Only if the slope is free.
Only for horses stabled in the THLC/accommodations.
Under the supervision of the User/Owner.
Any damage is at your own expense.
Around the track and trail
No directions are given/called to riders, not at lessons, not at free riding, only instructors are allowed to give instructions.
Is there no running or making noise.
Won't be played.
Won't be played in the straw.
7. Brushing, saddling and toileting
Ensure correct rigging of your horse, this will benefit the well-being of the horse.
In the back parking lot or in your own stall.
Always clean up the parking lot afterwards.
8. Spraying off horses
Use the wash bay or parking lot in the back for this purpose.
Limit rinsing in time.
Always clean up the laundry area or parking lot afterwards.
9. Shaving horses
The hair should be brought in a plastic bag to the dumpster at the garages.
10. Stable
Het assigning a stable is the authority of the Manager. He has the right to change a horse's stable for management reasons.
Access to the stables is prohibited to unauthorized persons.
Stable fees must be settled by the 3 de of the month.
Do not replenish hay or straw yourself, report it to the person in charge. If a horse needs extra straw, this can be requested (for a fee) from the Administrator.
Report problems i.e. stable or other infrastructure to the Administrator.
Services: The stable fee includes the following services:
- Three times concentrate feed and once pulp daily,
- Once a week the barn is mucked out,
- Use of pastures,
- Free use of the slopes,
- One locker per rented stall.
Any damage to the infrastructure by a horse, will be compensated by the User/Owner.
During barn work (feeding, mucking out, sweeping), horses are tethered in the barn or in a place where they do not disturb the work.
11. Straw, hay and fodder
It is forbidden to take your own straw, hay or feed without the Administrator's permission. The horses receive this from his appointees, and it is not intended that User/Owner do the same. Cutting open a bale of straw/hay/forage has serious consequences, for which the Manager will charge appropriate compensation. If you wish to fill a hay net to provide your horse with hay on the move, this is possible after permission from the Administrator.
12. Material
All used horse equipment must be stored by the User in the designated place.
When using the spray areas, the User must follow the rules provided for that purpose.
Tools and polishing equipment should be put away after use.
13. Meadows
The pastures of the THLC accommodations may only be used according to the pasture schedule prepared by the Administrator.
No horses are allowed to spend the night on the pastures of THLC accommodations.
14. Veterinarian
The Manager has the right to call a veterinarian if he considers that an intervention is necessary. Any costs will always be borne by the User/owner of the horse involved.
All User/Owners of horses will ensure to vaccinate their horse annually by December 1 against influenza and tetanus. They will provide proof of this. If this proof has not been provided the Administrator will be able to have the horse removed from THLC accommodations.
A flu/tetanus vaccine is a semi-annual requirement for all stabled horses.
We recommend that User/Owners deworm their horses at least 4 times/year. A User whose horse is stabled at THLC accommodations should provide the name and phone number of their veterinarian. When a member has knowledge that his horse has an infectious disease, it should be reported immediately to the Administrator. This is so that appropriate measures can be applied.
It is forbidden to feed horses that are not your property.
15. Dogs
Dogs are welcome if leashed.
16. Meeting rooms
Use of the meeting rooms for a fee is possible. In doing so, the User will behave as a prudent and reasonable person. The User will strictly adhere to the agreed activity. The User will leave the room completely clean and debris-free. In case of damage to hall, material or furniture, the costs of repair and/or cleaning will be charged in full to the User.
17. Groom spaces
Use of a groom room for a fee is possible. The User will behave as a prudent and reasonable person when doing so. In case of damage to or soiling of space, installations or furniture, the costs of repair and/or cleaning will be charged in full to the User.
18. Cafeteria
The cafeteria is open to all.
The bar itself and kitchen are accessible only to those appointed by the Administrator. It is strictly forbidden to go behind the bar or in the kitchen and serve oneself without the permission of a person appointed by the Manager.
19. Toilets
Toilets should be left tidy.
20. Parking
Vehicles must be placed in the provided parking spaces (in the front parking lot). It is forbidden to park vehicles elsewhere.
21. Smoking
With the exception of designated locations, smoking is prohibited on THLC accommodations.
22. Responsibilities and sanctions
Doping and sedation are strictly prohibited. A User caught doping or sedating a horse/rider may be excluded.
Cruelty and mistreatment towards the horses, wantonness, drunkenness and any other acts that could harm the good name, reputation and reputation of the Administrator may also result in exclusion.
The Administrator has the right to deny access to or remove from the THLC accommodations any User/violator of the above regulations.

Each User declares to have duly read, accepted and complied with these regulations.
