Sir Winston Churchill had a lifelong passion for horses. He himself served in the cavalry in the late years of the 19th century and was above all the man who saved thousands of horses in and after World War I. He rode horses all his life until well after his 80th birthday. This quote not only shows his love for horses but also shows us that he completely understood horses.
